Why my friends call me a geek

Good news and bad news…
So we didnt make it to the final 12… But we did do a very good second presentation! So if our first presentation was as the second one, maybe we could have made it.. Even though we were very dissapointed at first, its a win win situation. I won more time to see Paris, we won more time to meet the other competetors, we won more time to mingle with the leaders of big cooperations and we won more time to party
We saw the Emedded, Software design and gaming finals today. And I have to say, there are some sick talent in this competition!! We couldnt belive that students made the things they had.. Really impressive!!! Congrats to the finalists!

Ill add more stories and pics when I have the chance. Maybe even some juicy party pics, remember, we are wikings here and we try to act like it

So here’s a little update!
We are now on our third day in Paris, and its great! ImagineCup is much bigger then expected! You’ve got cameracrews, lots of press, the “big cheeses” in the industri and lots more.. Its just a lot of fun and the energy level is great!

eBuster have done one presentation for the judges and will do one more later today(Saturday). The first one we did OK, the room was full and there was press there and people filming us. Im very proud of the group members and how they all react under so much pressure. In a couple of hours we’re off to do the second one, Im sure this is gonna be much better then the first one! Lets just hope its enough to go to the second stage…….  I will update soon!

We are in full development and are currently working with these subjects:

We hope to publish a BETA of the portal as soon as possible, so our “fanbase” can start using eBuster

eBuster won the Norwegian Imagine Cup finals!
This means we’re going to Paris in July 2008 to the World Finals :)!

Kommer også etterhvert til å legge ut det jeg produserer selv, men akkurat nå er ingenting ferdig.

Etter lange dager med research i bedrifter og organisasjoner har vi nå bestemt oss for en idè, men jeg tror nok at endring og nye løsninger underveis ikke er å komme unna.

Vi har fått til noen nye vrier på idèen vår som vi er fornøyd med, og jeg tror dette kommer til å bli bra! Men føler samtidigt at det mangler en liten liten prikk over i’en.. Vi får se hvordan det går!

If you are a real novice with .NET like me, there are many really good learning and tutorials sites out there. But, many of the free ones are just plane text on a page. This for me is not very motivating, I like videos and speech. Luckly, there are sites with videos, speech and code.

The first sites I used, when I was totally new to c# was these. These site does NOT demand any pre-programming skills :

I’ve got plenty more, and I will poste them later. But these three site got about 15 hours of training videos and practice projects you can do, so this is a good start.

Im in the learning process when it comes to Microsoft technology, but it’s really fun to play with. So I will write some posts about how my learning process is going, and where YOU can learn.

I have a Java background, and im just starting to learn Visual Studio, C#, ASP.NET..

The private projects at the moment is, making facebook apps with ASP.NET and C#, and also making WPF(Windows Presentation Foundation) apps.
